Named after the renowned scientist and Padma Bhushan awardee Prof. Satish Dhawan, this park is a 9000 sqft serene oasis nestled in the heart of Tatanagar. Located on 6th A Cross, the park is a beloved community space that blends greenery, recreation, and quiet reflection.
Shaded by mature trees and home to a tiny natural water body, Satish Dhawan Park offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle.
The pond, surrounded by lush vegetation, attracts a variety of birdlife, such as peacocks, grey hornbills, spotted eagles, egrets, red-whiskered bulbuls, barn owls, fruit bats, rose ringed parakeets, lapwings, oriental tree pie, small green barbet, purple sun bird, tickells flower peckers, Indian myna, phariah kite, white breasted waterhen, spot billed duck, white breasted kingfisher, & pond herons.
A tree-lined walking path gently winds through the park, perfect for morning walks, evening strolls, or a quiet chat with a neighbor.
The park features an open gym, where fitness enthusiasts can work out in fresh air, and a Readers’ Club, providing a cozy spot for book lovers to gather.

Phoenix Park is more than just a green corner on the 5th Cross—a thoughtfully designed space by the JRD Tatanagar residents that blends leisure, fitness, and community spirit.
At its heart lies a small walking trail, perfect for a morning stroll or an evening unwind.
The park also encloses a versatile indoor facility that is ideal for a variety of indoor sports, such as Table Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton, Carrom, and Chess. This multipurpose hall can also transform seamlessly into a venue for events, workshops, and group classes, making it a hub for activity and engagement.
Most recently, this was the buzzling venue for the World Environment Day celebrations, marked by enthusiastic participation from Tatanagar residents.

Located on 7th Cross, the spacious outdoor sports ground in our layout, includes a huge cricket ground, a volleyball court and a basketball court.
Children and adults across all age groups gather here — not just to play, but to connect, compete, and build community.
At a time when open spaces are shrinking, Tatanagar stands out by preserving this vital space for our future sports stars.

JRD Tatanagar features an additional playground thoughtfully designed for children and families.
Located on the 4th Cross, this serene space includes a walking track around the perimeter, benches for relaxation, and a dedicated play area for kids. The calm and peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for residents to unwind. For cricket enthusiasts, it is a cozy alternative to the bustling Kuvempu Playground.
This humble & beautifull temple on the 3rd cross, is home to the majestic Lord Ganesha, surrounded by smaller shrines within the serene premises. Centrally located and easily accessible, the temple is nestled amidst parks and playgrounds, making it a vibrant hub for the community.
Daily poojas are performed with devotion. During festivals, the temple comes alive with wonderful decorations and large community participation. Residents of Tatanagar take part wholeheartedly in all functions, creating a strong sense of togetherness.
