Bharat Ratna JRD Tatanagar

Bharat Ratna JRD Tatanagar is a well-established residential area located in the northern part of Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is part of the Bengaluru Urban district and falls under the Kodigehalli ward of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). It is situated amidst well-known neighborhoods such as Sahakara Nagar, Kodigehalli, Hebbal, Lottegollahalli, Thindlu, and Sanjaynagar — all within a few kilometers' radius. 

Tatanagar was planned & developed by the Indian Institute of Science Employees' House Building Cooperative Society (I.I.Sc HBCS) with the primary objective of providing affordable housing to I.I.Sc employees. The residential layout, comprising approximately 560 plots in a mix of 30x40 ft and 40x60 ft sizes, is now home to over 500 households. Known for its serene environment, well-planned infrastructure, and modern amenities, Tatanagar offers an upscale and tranquil living experience.
