The Bharat Ratna JRD Tatanagar Residents' Welfare Association (Reg no 955-2003-2004), established in 2003 to represent collective interests of the vibrant and united Tatanagar community.

Ensure the orderly maintenance and development of the layout for residential purposes.
Promote safety, peace, and harmony among all residents.
Safeguard the interests and rights of individual residents and plot owners as valued members of the association.
Liaise with government agencies such as BBMP, BWSSB, and BESCOM for the upkeep of roads and drains, garbage collection, and the timely supply of drinking water and electricity.
Organize cultural programs and community events to foster unity and celebrate diversity.
Any individual who is the original allottee of a site in the IISc EHBCS Layout and resides within the layout is eligible for the Residents' Welfare Association (RWA) membership and shall have the right to vote in the election of the Managing Committee.
A member may nominate a family member residing with them to represent them at meetings and to contest in elections.
Any individual who is not the original allottee but owns part or all of a building (such as an apartment or flat) within the layout may be eligible to join as an Associate Member. After a continuous period of three years, such members may qualify to become Regular Members, subject to the rules of the Association.
In case of discontinuity in your membership, you are required to pay the current year's fee along with previous years to reactivate your membership.

Any individual who meets the above criterion can become a member:

Fill the form and submit it to the Treasurer or Secretary along with the latest property tax paid document.
Make the payment of ₹1300/- (joining fee ₹100/- + annual membership fee ₹1200/-). For details on how to make the payment, see Payment.
